Financial Aid Documents

You must complete your financial aid package as soon as possible. To stay on top of the financial aid process, you will want to regularly check the Wingate University NetPartner portal (accessible via your Student Checklist) as well as keep an eye on your Wingate email for requests for additional documents. All you need to access NetPartner is your Wingate Username and Password, which would have been sent to your personal email shortly after you paid your enrollment deposit.

Please note, financial aid documents may not be immediately available in your checklist.

N.C. law requires that medical records are complete before students begin class. Upload required documents at My WUHealth (accessible via your Student Checklist) as soon as you have access to your checklist.

High School Transcript

Final official high school transcripts are a critical part of getting you ready to start classes. Make sure you submit a final official high school transcript, that includes an actual date of graduation, as soon as you can. Request that your school counselor send your transcripts to us electronically through Naviance, Scribble, CFNC, Clearinghouse, or SCOIR. While sending transcripts electronically is the preferred method, it is also possible for your school to send them via mail to the below address:

Wingate University
Office of Undergraduate Admissions
102 West Wilson Street
Wingate, NC 28174

If you have ANY college level credit, including Dual Enrollment credit or Early College credit, you must have that college send your transcript to us as soon as possible. AP credit must be sent to us directly from College Board. We need this before we can finalize your class schedule. For students who are submitting official international transcript evaluations through SpanTran, WES, etc. please make sure that the evaluation includes all of your high school equivalent coursework.

Course Preference Form

The Course Preference Form is one of the many variables that is considered when creating a class schedule. Please submit your course preference form as soon as possible so we can start making your class schedule. This form confirms your major, which classes you are interested in, and much more.

Housing Application

We must receive your housing application before we can assign you a residential space and a roommate. Completing and submitting your housing application as soon as possible will allow you to be among the first to receive a housing and roommate assignment. The priority housing deadline is June 10, 2024.

Residence Life will continuously make housing assignments, but for the best possible roommate match, you should complete your application by July 16, 2024.

Math Placement Exam

The Math Placement Exam is one of the many variables that is considered when creating a class schedule. Completing the Math Placement Exam to the best of your ability and without help will assist us in creating a class schedule that meets your academic needs.

Student Account Balance

Paying your student account balance is a crucial step to ensuring a successful transition to Wingate. The deadline to pay your student account balance will be on your New Student Checklist when it becomes available. You will be notified by email when your bill has been generated and is ready for payment. Paying your bill and/or signing up for a monthly payment plan can be done through WinLINK which is accessible via your Student Checklist. The payment due date is Aug. 1, 2024.

Student Health Insurance

To meet the health insurance requirement, either enroll in the University-sponsored plan or provide proof of your own coverage under a U.S. based policy. You’ll need to do this each semester to avoid a non-refundable insurance charge to your student account.

Please note that students who are enrolled part-time, or for less than 12 credit hours, are not eligible to enroll in student health insurance.

To access this task you will want to access your Student Checklist once it is available. Please note that you will gain access to the Student Checklist before the link to enroll or waive the University-sponsored health insurance is available. Students will receive an email when the link to enroll or waive the University-sponsored health insurance is available.

This will become available at a later date.

Student Waiver and Release of Claims

  • You'll need to read and sign the Student Waiver and Release of Claims form each year to ensure that you understand and accept risks associated with classroom and campus activities and extracurricular events.
  • Access your Student Checklist to complete this.

Student Financial Responsibility Agreement & TITLE IV AUTHORIZATION

  • All students must read this form carefully, sign and submit prior to the first day of classes. The document outlines the terms and conditions of the financial responsibilities and obligations associated with attending Wingate University.
  • Access your Student Checklist to complete this.
  • Federal regulations require authorization from the student to use Title IV funds (i.e. federal financial aid) to pay for prior term and/or current term non-educational charges within the same academic year (i.e. Fall, Spring, Summer).

  • F1-Visa International students do not need to complete the Title IV Authorization form, instead they shouldcomplete this form.

Attend Orientation

New students starting in August are required to attend one in-person orientation over the course of June and July. Each student is allowed to bring up to two guests. Student and Family schedules for summer orientation will be published soon.

New students starting in August are also required to attend Bulldog Beginnings, their extended orientation program before the first day of class. A schedule with more information will be published soon regarding Bulldog Beginnings.

Information regarding orientation registration will be sent to your Wingate email. Deadlines to register will be listed on the form.

F1-Visa International students who are not yet in the country are not required to attend an in-person summer orientation date. An orientation experience for F1-Visa International students is on Aug. 21, 2024.

Vehicle Registration

If you are planning to bring a vehicle to campus, you must register it with Campus Security. You can register your vehicle on the New Student Checklist.

If you are not bringing a vehicle to campus and you do not want to be charged a vehicle registration fee, please access your Student Checklist and under the Vehicle Registration task check the box that states “check here if this requirement does not apply to you."
