Reservation Information (2024)

General Information

Most state parks are open 8 a.m. to sundown, 365 days a year. Reservations can be made by visiting the Florida State Parks reservations website or by calling 800-326-3521 or TDD 888-433-0287 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Eastern time. Florida residents may make campsite or cabin reservations up to 11 months in advance. Non-Florida residents may make campsite or cabin reservations up to 10 months in advance.

All campsites or cabins not reserved or occupied may be rented to walk-in visitors on a first-come, first-served basis.
Reservations are made on a pay-in-advance basis.
Prices are subject to change without notice.

Prices and Discounts

Fees/Discounts Information

Campsite prices vary from $16 to $42 a night depending on the park. Cabin prices vary from $30 to $160 a night. A 50% discount on base campsite fees is available to Florida residents who are 65 years of age or older,Florida residents possessing a current Social Security disability award certificate or a 100% disability award certificate from the federal government,and familiesoperating alicensed family foster home.

Documentation will be requested on arrival. Discounts apply only to the campsite being occupied by the person meeting the established criteria.Discounts apply only to family/full-facility campsites (primitive sites, primitive group sites, developed group camps and boat slips are excluded).

Primitive group camp fees are per person fees ($1juvenile and $5 adult).
The camping fee includes admission fee and the use of park facilities such as boat ramps and playgrounds but does not include tour, attraction or museum fees.

Reservation Fees

Visitors pay a nonrefundable $6.70 reservation fee (per reservation, not per night) when making a reservation online or through the call center. This fee is collected at the time of reservation.

Reservation fees do not apply to reservations for primitive sites.

Utility Fees

All new reservations for RV, boat, bungalow, cabin and yurt units at all parks are assessed at $7nightly utility fee. This fee does not apply to tent camping. Senior and disabled camping discountsdo not apply to the $7nightly utility fee.

Length of Stay - Campgrounds

Length-of-stay limits are established to protect the quality of the visitorcamping experience. Limitations on camping nights and site capacities seek to achieve this protection while providing adequate camping opportunities to park visitors.

During periods of high demand, the maximum length of a camping or cabin stay is 14 nights. After 14 nights, the camper must leave the park for at least three nights before returning for a new stay.
Based on availability and once the camper is registered and on-site, the park manager or designee may at their discretion extend a camper’s current stay up to an additional 14 nights. Maximum continuous length of stay in any one park is 28 nights.
Campers are permitted up to 56 nights of total occupancy in any one park in each six-month period, defined as Oct. 1 - March 31, and April 1 - Sept. 30.

Any attempt to circumvent the 14-night maximum or 56-night total length-of-stay limit is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, changing the registered name of a group or individual, making multiple advanced reservations or using multiple user profiles

If a reservation or series of reservations is determined to be out of compliance with the maximum length-of-stay policy, thecamper will be contactedand directed todetermine which reservations will be canceled to bring the camper into compliance.Refunds will be applied to any advance reservations, as necessary, to bring the total nightswithinthe allowable limit. Cancellation fees will beapplied for any advance reservation canceled for this reason.

Cabins must be reserved for a minimum of two nights.

All campsites or cabins not already occupied or having a prior reservation may be rented by walk-in visitors.

Cabin Damage Fees

Staff may assess cabin renters a damage fee when it is necessary to clean up or repair any damage beyond ordinary cleaning, wear and tear.Fees may also be charged for lost/stolen items. The reasonable cost of any such damage will be charged to the credit card used for the reservation.

If excessive cleaning is needed or damages are identified, the damage fee will be the amount equivalent to the applicable hourly wage of staff for the time necessary to clean or repair the damage and the cost to replace damaged furnishings, or the actual vendor charge to clean or repair the damage.

If determined an item is lost/stolen, then the amount will be the cost to replace the item.

Occupancy

Campsites accommodate no more than eight people and must have at least one responsible camper present who is 18 years of ageor older. Any more than eight campers will be required to rent and move to additional sites. Children under 6 years old do not count in the total.

Cabins can accommodate either four or six visitors. Campsites and cabins must be occupied for the duration of the stay.

Camping Rigs

A camping rig is defined as combinationsof vehicles, trailers, tents and/or hammocks. Pedestrians without a camping rig will not be allowed to stay. While most campsites can accommodate a variety of camping rigs, some campsites may not accommodate large trailers or RVs having both large slide-outs and a dining fly. Be sure toindicate specifications when making a reservation. Setting up buffer zones or other use areas that interfere with neighboring campersis not allowed.

Hammock camping rigs and any other associated lines can be attached to trees that are a minimum of 12 inches in diameter measured at chest height and using a minimum of1-inch-wide flat web straps. Some parks may provide hammock posts instead of trees.

Check-in, Check-out and Quiet Times

No one under 18 years of age may camp unless accompanied by a responsible adult who will remain on-site for the entire reservation.
Do not overcrowd your campsite or cabin. Campsites are limited to eight peopleorto one immediate family (parents and children 17 and younger).
Check-in time for campsites is 3p.m. and check-out time is 1p.m. Check-in time for cabins is 4p.m.and check-out time is 11a.m. Quiet time is 11p.m.-7a.m.
If you plan to arrive after sunset, call the park before 5p.m. local time for the gate combination.
Parking is at the discretion of park staff and is limited to no more than two vehicles per campsite or cabin. Additional vehicles may be required to park in designated areas.

Camping with Pets

Pets are permitted in certain designated camping areas and campsites. Pets are not permitted on beaches or playgrounds, or in bathing areas, cabins, park buildings or concession facilities. Individual parks may have specific areas prohibiting pets.

No Shows

Park staff will hold reserved campsites or cabins until the applicable check-out time, one day after the scheduled arrival date. In the event that campers do not arrive for their reservation and the camper does not call the park directly to cancel, the remainder of the reservation will be canceled as a no-show. The remaining balance of the reservation, if any, will be refunded.

Reservation Window

Florida residents may make campsite or cabin reservations from the same day before 1 p.m. up to 11 months in advance of their arrival date. Reservations may only be made beyond 11 months when the reservation period starts within the 11-month period and ends outside that period. The result is reservations could extend 11 months and 13 days into the future.

Non-Florida residents may make campsite or cabin reservations from the same day before 1 p.m. up to 10 months in advance of their arrival date. Reservations may only be made beyond 10 months when the reservation period starts within the 10-month period and ends outside that period. The result is reservations could extend 10 months and 13 days into the future.

To ensure fairness in reserving campsites and cabins, reservations made with a departure date beyond the reservations window may not be changed until 18 days after the reservation is made. 

New sites become available for reservation daily at 8 a.m. Eastern time. Any new sites that become available throughout the day due to a cancellation are released back into inventory following the cancellation.

Changing Reservations

Date or site changes to campsite or cabin reservations may be made up to one day before the day of arrival through the Florida State Parks reservations website or by calling 800-326-3521 or TDD 888-433-0287.

Reservations cannot be transferred from one account to another.
The visitor will be charged $10 for making a change. Once visitors arrive at the park and register, park staff may make date and site changes without charging cancellation or change fees.
Change fees do not apply to reservations for primitive group camps.

CancelingReservations

Visitors can cancel family campsite and cabin reservations by calling 800-326-3521or TDD888-433-0287 oronline.

A $17.75 cancellation fee will be assessed for each reservation that is canceled. Visitors canceling on the day of arrival will be assessed a $17.75 cancellation fee and the first night's use fee.All cancellation fees plus the $6.70 reservation feeare waived for visitors who make their cancellations within 24 hours of bookingthe reservation, provided they contact 800-326-3521or TDD888-433-0287 to request the fees be waived.

After the day of arrival, visitors calling 800-326-3521or TDD888-433-0287 will be directed to call the park to make arrangements for arriving late or to obtain a refund. Visitors will receive a prorated refund(minus the $17.75 cancellation fee) when canceling after the day of arrival. If you reserve multiple sites on consecutive days to make up a single stay, please take into consideration that the cancellation fee is applied to each reservation number.

Fees may be applied up to the total amount paid for the reservation.

In an effort to ensure fairness in reserving campsites and cabins, reservations made with a departure date beyond the 11-month advance reservations window may not be changed or canceled until 18 days after the reservation is made.
Cancellation fees do not apply to reservations for primitive group camps.

Reselling Campsite Reservations

Reselling campsite reservations is not permitted. Reservations are made on a pay-in-advance basis.This paid reservation is a transaction contract between the purchaser and Florida State Parks and the reservation may not be resold.

If a reservation is discovered to have been offered for resale or resold, the reservation will be canceled and the original purchaser will be charged the $17.75 cancellation fee. Florida State Park's concessionaires are exempt from this policy when the reservation is part of an authorized visitor service.

Gift Cards

Effective Feb. 1, 2018, gift cards are no longer available for purchase.Florida State Parks will continue to honor and accept all gift cards purchased prior to Feb. 1, 2018.

Gift cards mayonlybe used to make reservations for camping and cabins at participating Florida State Parks.
Gift cards may be redeemed for reservations made online, through the call center and as walk-ins.They are not redeemable for past purchases or other merchandise/fees/rentals and are not redeemable for camping or cabin reservations in other states (exclusive to Florida State Parks).
Gift cards are not redeemable for cash and are nonrefundable.
Florida State Parks is not responsible for replacing lost or stolen cards.
Gift cards do not have an expiration date or an inactivity feeand will not be charged a low balance fee.
