There has been a steady stream of new musicians entering the music industry, especially in the urban music scene, in recent years. Herbert Wright III, also known as G Herbo, was one of the 2014 batch of products.
He appears to have no plans to slow down anytime soon, since he has launched a plethora of projects since breaking into the field. Albums like Welcome to Fazoland (2014), Strictly 4 My Fans (2016), and Humble Beast (2017) are part of this rapper’s catalog.
How Old is G Herbo?
The Southeast Side neighborhood of South Shore in Chicago is the site of Herbert Wright III’s birth on October 8, 1995. Because gang activity was so common in his community, it was nicknamed Terror community. His early musical influences included Chief Keef, Young Jeezy, Gucci Mane, Lil Wayne, and Jadakiss. His rap heroes served as an inspiration for him and his friend Lil Bibby, who would go on to launch their own rap careers.
The NLMB fraternity counts Herbo and Lil Bibby among its members. The name is derived from a variety of origins. The four-letter combination No Limit, M, B, and L comes from the merger of two gang names: Muskegon Boyz and Almighty Black P. Stone. On the other hand, at the Herbo NLMB fraternity, the initials NLMB can mean “Never Leave My Brethren.”
Career
Wright first gained widespread attention as a professional rapper when he collaborated with Lil Bibby on the track “Kill sh*t” under the stage name Lil Herb. In early 2014, he dropped his first mixtape, “Welcome to Fazoland,” under the moniker G Herbo. The album, which was aptly named after a Chicago friend who tragically lost their life in a gun violence incident, garnered a lot of praise. By the year’s conclusion, G Herbo had dropped his second mixtape, “Pistol P Project.” After signing with Cinematic Music Group, he released “Ballin Like I’m Kobe” the next year. Mixtape “Strictly 4 My Fans,” G Herbo’s fourth, came out in 2016. His earlier mixtapes were available for free download, but this one was priced to sell. “Sessions” and “No Limitations,” a joint effort between G Herbo and Lil Bibby, are two of G Herbo’s later mixtapes.
The self-titled debut studio album of G Herbo was released in 2017. Notable rappers including Bump J, Lil Yachty, and Lil Uzi Vert made cameo appearances. On the Billboard 200, the album peaked at number twenty-one. After that, G Herbo collaborated with Southside to release the album “Swervo,” which featured guest performances from artists including Chief Keef, Young Thug, and 21 Savage. He then dropped “Still Swervin” in the new year.
G Herbo’s third solo studio album, “PTSD,” was released in early 2020 and became his biggest commercial hit to date. It premiered at number seven on the Billboard 200 and featured appearances by numerous artists, including Lil Durk, Chance the Rapper, Polo G, and many more. Upon its release in 2021, his fourth studio album, “25,” did even better, peaking at number five. In 2022, G Herbo’s ninth studio album, “Survivor’s Remorse,” debuted at number nine.
G Herbo, like the majority of rappers, has been featured on multiple tracks by various rappers. You might recognize him from his appearances on songs by artists like Christaun, Philthy Rich, Travis Marsh, King Deazel, Lil Eazzyy, B-Lovee, Roddy Ricch, Polo G, and Gunna. The remix of “Who Want Smoke??” by Nardo Wick and “IDK That Bitch” by Gunna are two of his most popular commercial singles. Lil Durk and 21 Savage are also featured on the latter, which is set to be released in late 2021. On the Billboard Hot 100, it peaked at number seventeen. As a featured artist, G Herbo scored excellent hits on “Go Part 1” by Polo G and “Facetime” by King Von.
G Herbo Personal Life
That rapper hasn’t tied the knot yet. On the other hand, he’s deeply involved with a woman named Taina Williams. Emily Bustamante’s daughter Taina is well-known in the entertainment industry. Millions of followers are crossing their fingers that Taina will soon tie the knot with G Herbo, since the two are engaged.
His past relationships include one with Ariana Fletcher. After a roughly four-year relationship, they broke up in 2017. Ariana reported him to the authorities for allegedly hitting her at her Atlanta home before they broke up. Additionally, she claimed that the rapper had been unfaithful to her. That led to G’s arrest.
With two separate mistresses, the rapper has produced two boys. He and Ariana Fletcher had their first child in 2018. He was given the name Yosohn Wright. Essex William Wright was born to his current girlfriend Taina in May 2021.
