Escape From Tarkov is a visual delight of a game.
However, before you download it, you need to see if your PC can actually handle its graphics. You don’t want to buy the game and then find out that Tarkov crashes due to your hardware.
We’ll go through EFT’s PC requirements below, including the minimum requirement that your PC should have to play it smoothly.

Minimum System Requirements

CPU
Escape From Tarkov only needs an Intel Core 2 Duo, Intel Core i3 2.4 GHz, AMD Athlon, or an AMD Phenom II 2.6 GHz.
In that same line, the game devs do recommend an Intel Core i5 or an i7 3.2 GHz, an AMD FX, or an AMD Athlon 3.6 GHz.
Ideally, you can get an Intel Core i7 10th gen. It is also pretty reasonably priced against its competitors.
If you are strapped for cash but you don’t want your system to suffer in the long run, try AMD’s Athlon 3000G which has 3.5 GHz clock speed and can even support overclocking, if you’re ever considering that route. It is probably one of the best value for money CPUs on this list.
GPU
Any graphics card that supports DirectX 11 will be able to support Escape From Tarkov.
There is a long line of GPUs that can fit the bill. From NVIDIA’s 460 line and anything better, any NVIDIA RTX, NVIDIA Titan cards, AMD’s 5000 series and anything released after that. This includes the Radeon Fury/X, Vega, and the RX 5700/XT.
Frankly speaking, the GPU that you should select should match your current wants and needs. For example, if you want to play Escape From Tarkov and other games at 1440p, 144 Hz, ultra high graphic settings, and consistently 60 FPS, you would need a really good GPU like an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super.
If you are looking for something reliable at 1080p, a GTX 1660 will do a good job and is almost half the price of a 2070 super.
For a budget build, go with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 or an AMD Radeon HD 6870.
RAM
Escape From Tarkov needs at least 8 GB of RAM to properly run. On the other hand, the game actually requires 12 GB or more.
Go with the 12 GB RAM. Trust us, you won’t regret it.
Apart from gaming, there are a lot of applications that can take up RAM space even if you aren’t opening them. You can opt to do RAM allocating techniques for Escape From Tarkov or you can just buy more RAM.
RAM doesn’t cost a lot so why cheap out? You can even get a really good brand of 16 GB RAM, say a Corsair or a Crucial, for under $100.
Storage
Prior to downloading Escape From Tarkov, make sure you have at least 8 GB of space.
The devs didn’t recommend anything higher despite the game’s size being 12 GB. To be fair, unless you have other games that are really big, and you really only play Escape From Tarkov, you can probably get away with 128 GB.
However, we recommend a 512 GB SSD and a 1 TB HDD. It is quite unlikely that you’re only going to use your PC for Escape From Tarkov, so you might as well ensure that your system can keep up with anything.
Some good SSD brands include Western Digital, Corsair, Kingston, or even Samsung. For HDDs, Seagate and Western Digital consistently come out on top.
Operating System
You can run the game with no issues if you have either a Windows 7, 8, or 10 with 64 bits.
Now, we don’t think you’ll face any major issues with an older OS like Windows 7 or 8. However, getting the latest OS won’t hurt either.
Windows 10 has a lot of built-in security features, it is more efficient when it comes to running apps, and its system has adaptability settings which adjust to your activity as a user. These advantages are just the tip of the iceberg.
Summary
Escape From Tarkov is a fantastic FPS game with really reasonable PC requirements. You can get away with the bare minimum if you want to run it on low settings.
If you want to experience the game in high quality, you can also invest a little bit and it will go a really long way.
